P3X-996 is a remote, tropical planet in the Etakani Nebula of the Elkska Galaxy. Although a small and idyllic world, P3X-996 played an important part in the Lizardian Empire's military-industrial complex, becoming a center for top-secret research beyond inspection distance of the prying eyes of the people Not Humans. Among the projects stored here was the Septarium project reseach facility, a construction so important the entire planet was covered by a planetary energy shield that could only be entered via a Shield Gate.
Description
P3X-996 is a verdant, beautiful if relatively large world, measuring just over twelve thousand kilometers in diameter. It had a remote and isolated galactic location in the Etakani Nebula of the southeast Elkska Galaxy. A deep-blue world speckled with clouds, P3X-996 was comprised of tropical, volcanic island chains rising from clear, shallow oceans. Deeper oceans teeming with life were surrounded by rocky archipelagos. The planet's mantle was filled with dense metals that became valuable in Interceptor construction. P3X-996's sandy beaches were tranquil and idyllic, and some led into jungle canopies filled with wildlife, including Thymeup nut palm trees and the giant Oxalide Lugubre sea grape, which offered natural protection. The world had a temperate and comfortable climate and from the surface appeared as a tropical paradise despite its challenging ecosystem and dangerous predators.
The Lizardian Empire constructed its Center of Military Research across a wheel of islets and landmasses connected by sandy to
mbolos and artificial transit tubes. The region was surrounded by a volcanic island covered in jungles, and the central islet housed the monolithic Citadel Tower. The Imperial installations on the planet were known to be one of the very few sites where pure, refined Yabitanite fuel was stored, other than Hanalei Island.
